My name is Kokopelli and Im going to tell you a story.
Life as we know it basically began with the first drum beat. That first pulse started everything, really. It was followed by another, identical in all facets, and so forth until a recognizable cycle materialized. Then everything that was alive joined in and created the ever-evolving song, which brings me to the purpose of this gathering.
When I was in my early years, a forward-thinker in the Tribe uncovered the idea that this beat might serve well as a catalyst to bring the community together. And so, all-night ragers began.
The idea was sImple. If you made music, people would gather by instinct. The louder you played, the more people danced. The more they danced, the deeper they went into a state of Remembering. And when you Rememeber, you can detach yourself--if even for a moment--from this unnaturally structured reality.
From that day on, the Tribe gathered together for a communal dance once every season to remember what it was like at the very beginning, when things were sImple....
