Eldritch space/drone transmissions birthed from an experimental Vermont forest festival.
For the past handful of summers, Paul Eggleston and Kris Thompson have hauled their synths, theremins and assorted gadgets (and a gas-powered generator) into a Vermont forest to set up their theme camp at the Firefly arts festival. "Camp Astral Chill" is the late-night oasis where they (along with various collaborators) have unfurled many an evocative flight of inner-spatial drone dimensioneering. The cauldron of sound—mingling with the dance of laser insect simulations upon the encircling pine bowers overhead—has made for some unusually heady times.
The project has left the forest on a number of occasions—usually favoring special environments such as Brain Arts Org's "Dreamscape" series of multimedia events at a local church's sanctuary and Fractaltribe’s psychedelic music gathering “Fractalfest”.
