Atmos is one of the most respected and influential artists in today’s psychedelic and progressive trance scene. Some say, that his early releases like his 1999 hit Klein Aber Doctor, gave life to the sub genre of psytrance known as Progressive Psytrance which combined psytrance synths and melodies along progressive groove.
It all started in the early seventies when a young Thomasz aka Atmos watched the television for the first time. Instantaneously fascinated by different soundtracks and jingles, a deep interest in music was born.
After a short bedroom DJ career, Tomasz decided to produce his own music. Along with his natural talent, he managed to release his first single in 1996 on Pablo Gargano’s, EVE records. The record sold very well and gave the aspiring Atmos both zest and confidence to strive for more.
His influences derive from electronic and ambient-rock music like JM Jarre and Pink Floyd, which quickly formed a style that was to make him one of the most successful producers in the hypnotic and atmospheric trance scene. With his trademark sound, Atmos had released 5 albums, loads of singles and has countless appearances on compilations but more importantly – his music has been embraced, played and loved by such a broad spectrum of people, ranging from the top 10 DJs to Underground DJs all over the world.
Tomasz has been touring all parts of the world, to every possible kind of event, for well over 20 years now and with great success. His sense for merging rhythm while programming with delicate strings into a well-produced groovy sound is guaranteed to make everyone get down to the dance floor and that has made him an instalment to count on in events all over the globe.
