Sonic Junkie

Vano Chikhlo, AKA Sonic Junkie, is a Brooklyn-based musician and producer specializing in leftfield, experimental music. He is the co-founder of Dispatch Collective, a community-based project that organizes events to showcase innovative art, music, and creativity. Vano began producing music in the late ’90s when he was first introduced to DAW software and virtual plugins. Since then, he has been experimenting with acoustic, analog, and digital instruments while discovering new ways of sculpting sounds. With creativity and experimentation as the driving force behind his music, Vano has honed a unique style, unfettered by the constricting borders of any one genre. As a result, each piece he produces offers his listeners a unique composition and meticulously crafted sound design. Sonic Junkie brings together Vano’s musical alter-egos, creating an ever-changing and colorful sound palette that gives his listeners an unfiltered peek into his sonic world. In 2020, Vano released his debut EP “Horizon Bent” under the alias Sonic Junkie. Since then, he has been releasing music across various labels and platforms. Currently, he is finalizing multiple EPs to be released within the next year.
