Workshop Description

White Noise Weekend, born in Utica, NY, is an incubator for free form cooperate play. The White Noise Workshop is a homage to the Vorhaus/Derbyshire/ Hodgson project of the 60's in name and ideal, it strives to facilitate what saxophonist Evan Parker has achieved, "When I close my eyes and I am just playing with other people in a free situation, where we can all do what we want, I am in a utopian space." Performers, artists & attendees are encouraged to join in a free improvisational jam using a 16 channel mixer. This will be an open jam session like a drum circle but with synths/drum machines/sequencers. Feel free to bring your own synth of any kind (including iOS devices).
